General Club FAQs

  • Most bookings are made through our website or our Wellness Social Club app, available for free on iOS and Android platforms. Simply download the app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account to get started. 

    On the app, you can view the timetable, book sessions, purchase memberships or session packs, and manage your bookings all in one place. The app also allows you to set reminders, receive notifications about class availability, and access exclusive member perks. To navigate to your desired service quickly, click on ‘event type’ to filter and see available sessions such as Wet Recovery, Dry Recovery, or Wellness Classes. This feature helps you customise your experience based on your wellness goals. 

    All Wet Recovery, Dry Recovery, and Wellness Classes can be viewed and booked at the same time in the app. This streamlined process ensures you can plan your entire wellness routine effortlessly. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Red Light Therapy can be booked directly in the app. For Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, a complimentary 15-minute consultation with our nurse is required for first-time users to ensure safety and suitability.

  • Wellness Social Club offers memberships with the best value and benefits, but we also offer session packs if you’d like a little more flexibility. Non-members can book single sessions or purchase session packs to try our services without commitment. Our memberships offer no lock-in contracts, requiring only 30 days’ written notice to cancel. Choose pre-paid options for even greater savings. Memberships include perks like discounted session rates, priority booking, and access to exclusive workshops and events.   • Wellness Social Club is open seven days a week to accommodate your schedule.

    • Monday - Friday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM

    • Saturday - Sunday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

    On public holidays, our opening hours may vary. Please check our website, social media channels (Instagram and Facebook), or the Wellness Social Club app for real-time updates on holiday schedules and special closures.

  • Wellness Social Club does not offer on-site parking. However, convenient parking is available within a short walking distance:

    • Aldi car park: 15 Dundas St, Preston VIC 3072 (free for up to 90 minutes with validation)

    • Woolworths car park: 50 Plenty Rd, Preston VIC 3072 (free for up to 2 hours with validation)

    • All-day parking: On-street parking on Plenty Road and Dundas Street at set times (check signage for time restrictions to avoid fines) We recommend allowing a few extra minutes to find a spot and walk to the club.

    Public transport is also a great option, with tram and bus stops within a 5-minute walk from our location.

  • We understand that plans change! You can cancel your booking via the Wellness Social Club app with just a few taps. Please make sure to cancel at least 12 hours before your session to avoid a $20 cancellation fee. Cancellations can be managed under the ‘My Bookings’ section of the app. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee to ensure fairness for other guests waiting for available spots. Thank you for letting us know in advance—it helps us keep spaces available for other guests.

  • Yes, you can pause your membership for up to 8 weeks per calendar year (minimum 1 week) or switch between membership tiers. Pausing is ideal for travel or busy periods, while switching tiers allows you to adjust your plan based on your evolving wellness needs. 

    Simply speak to our team in person at the club, call us, or send an email to info@wellnesssocialclub.com.au, and we’ll help adjust your plan to suit your needs. Our team will process your request within 48 hours and confirm the changes via email.

  • Depending on your membership level, you may have treatments included. Please visit our website to compare our different membership types and check your specific entitlements. You can also view your membership benefits directly in the Wellness Social Club app under ‘My Account.’

  • We recommend bringing a water bottle, comfortable clothing, and an open mind. Loose, breathable attire is ideal for most sessions to ensure comfort and ease of movement.

    If you have booked a Wet Recovery or Infrared Sauna session, please bring your swimsuit. Please bring your own towel to reduce environmental impact; however, towel hire is available for $5 per towel if needed. For Wet Recovery sessions, non-slip water shoes are optional but recommended for added comfort. We kindly ask all patrons to sit on a towel in the Traditional Sauna; a small towel will be provided by our staff. This ensures hygiene and comfort for all guests in the shared sauna space.

  • Wellness Social Club offers secure lockers to store your personal belongings. Please leave your phones in the lockers during your session to maintain a distraction-free environment. Our facilities include clean bathrooms and fully equipped private showers for guests to use with Australian-made Salus Hair and Body products. These eco-friendly, sulfate-free products are designed to nourish your skin and hair post-recovery.

  • Wellness Social Club has a ‘no shoes policy’ for cleanliness and comfort in Wet Recovery areas. This policy helps maintain a hygienic environment and prevents slips on wet surfaces. Please bring your own indoor footwear, such as non-slip water shoes, if you prefer.

  • We ask our visitors to store their phones in lockers to support mindfulness and privacy. This policy creates a tranquil, screen-free environment where you can fully immerse yourself in your wellness experience. It’s your time to disconnect from screens and reconnect with yourself. The use of phones is permitted in designated lounge areas for those who need to stay connected before or after sessions.

  • Yes, all our showers are fitted with premium Fettle Effect shower filters to ensure guests experience the cleanest, gentlest water possible. After Wet Recovery, your skin and pores are especially open and sensitive. Showering in filtered water, free from chlorine and harsh chemicals, helps support skin hydration, reduce irritation, and enhance recovery. Our filters are regularly maintained to guarantee optimal water quality for every guest.

  • Wellness Social Club provides guests with filtered still and sparkling water, hot water, and detox teas complimentary with every visit. Sodii hydration sachets are available for purchase at $2.50 each, offering electrolytes to support post-session recovery. Please bring your own refillable bottle. We have a ZIP tap to refill your bottles with chilled, filtered still or sparkling water for convenience.

WET RECOVERY

Contrast Water Therapy

At Wellness Social Club, we offer both hot and cold plunge pools to complement your wellness journey. These pools are designed to support circulation, recovery, and overall well-being, whether you’re seeking gentle relaxation or a wellness boost. Contrast Water Therapy alternates between hot and cold exposure to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote muscle recovery.

    Please note that Infrared Sauna is a separate offering and not included in Wet Recovery sessions. However, the Traditional Sauna is included when booking Contrast Water Therapy, allowing you to combine sauna benefits with your plunge pool experience.

  • Hot and cold plunge pools can improve circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and aid recovery. The hot plunge relaxes muscles and eases tension, while the cold plunge invigorates the body, boosts alertness, and supports immune function. Alternating between hot and cold (Contrast Water Therapy) can enhance overall well-being. Additional benefits include reduced stress, improved sleep quality, and enhanced cardiovascular health, making it a favourite for athletes and wellness enthusiasts alike.

  • Most people can enjoy plunge pools safely. However, pregnant guests or those with heart conditions, low blood pressure, or respiratory issues should consult a doctor first. Our trained staff will provide a brief orientation before your first session to ensure you feel confident and safe. Our team is always happy to guide you and suggest safe ways to enjoy the experience.

  • The temperatures set in our Wet Recovery zones follow the latest research advice:

    • Cold plunge: 9°C, refreshing and invigorating

    • Hot pool: 39°C, warm enough to relax muscles without overheating

    • Traditional Sauna: 90°C

    • Infrared Sauna: 45–60°C (booked separately)

    Temperatures are monitored to ensure consistency and safety.

  • We recommend 2-3 cycles of alternating the cold plunge and the hot pool at 30-60 seconds each. Beginners may start with shorter intervals (15-30 seconds) and gradually increase as they become accustomed to the therapy. Listen to your body and adjust as needed; our staff can guide you for a safe and effective experience. A typical session includes 5-10 minutes in the Traditional Sauna between cycles to enhance detoxification.

  • We offer both the cold plunge and hot pool to give members a complete Contrast Water Therapy experience, supporting recovery, circulation, and overall wellness. It’s a natural, effective way to complement Red Light Therapy, sauna, or other wellness sessions and enhance your self-care routine. Traditional Sauna

Our Traditional Sauna offers a high-heat, shared-space experience designed to promote relaxation, detoxification, and cardiovascular health.

  • Traditional Sauna: High heat (80–100°C), shared space with a small group, helps with relaxation, circulation, and detoxification through sweat. The sauna is maintained at an optimal 90°C for most sessions. Both the Traditional Sauna and Infrared Sauna (booked separately) offer unique health benefits. We want members to access diverse detox and relaxation options to suit their preferences and wellness goals.

  • Simply book by selecting a Wet Recovery session in the app or through the website. Although our sauna fits up to 20 guests, we limit sessions to 10 spots to ensure a comfortable and spacious experience. This allows for ample room to relax and enjoy the benefits of the sauna without overcrowding.

  • Each session is 60 minutes in duration. Twenty minutes of sweating in the Traditional Sauna is recommended to enjoy benefits without overexposure, with the remaining time dedicated to Contrast Water Therapy or relaxation in the lounge area.

  • Saunas are not recommended during pregnancy or for those with heart conditions, low blood pressure, or other serious health concerns. Individuals with respiratory conditions or heat sensitivity should also seek medical advice. Always consult your doctor if you are unsure. Our staff are trained to provide guidance and can recommend alternative therapies if the sauna is not suitable.

  • Yes! Many guests combine sauna sessions with other wellness treatments for a full restorative experience. Popular combinations include Wet Recovery with Red Light Therapy, or a Wellness Class. Our team is happy to help you plan a routine tailored to your goals.

Infrared Sauna

Our Infrared Sauna uses advanced infrared technology to deliver deep-penetrating heat, promoting muscle recovery, detoxification, and relaxation at a lower temperature than traditional saunas.

  • Bookings are for 45 minutes to allow for deeper relaxation and tissue recovery. This duration is ideal for maximising detoxification and muscle relaxation without overheating.

  • Saunas are not recommended during pregnancy or for those with heart conditions, low blood pressure, or other serious health concerns. Individuals with heat sensitivity or certain skin conditions should also consult a doctor. Always consult your doctor if you are unsure. Our staff can provide alternative recovery options if needed.

Red Light Therapy

Wellness Social Club offers Red Light Therapy, a non-invasive light therapy using red and near-infrared light to reduce inflammation and support skin and muscle recovery.   • Red Light Therapy is safe for most guests. It is not recommended for those with light sensitivity or conditions like epilepsy triggered by light exposure. Those with certain conditions should consult a doctor. Our staff provide a safety briefing before your first session to ensure comfort.

  • Red Light Therapy sessions are 10–20 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. Book via app or in person. Shorter sessions are ideal for targeted areas, while longer sessions suit full-body treatments.

  • Arrive at Wellness Social Club clean. Please do not wear lotions/oils. Wear clothing that allows access to your full body. We recommend loose, breathable clothing or minimal attire (e.g., underwear or swimsuit) to maximise light exposure. We provide goggles to protect your eyes during the session.

  • You won’t feel much during your Red Light Therapy session—just a mild warm feeling. The therapy is safe and pain-free. Some guests report a subtle tingling sensation, but it’s generally relaxing and comfortable.

DRY RECOVERY

When booking a Dry Recovery session, you can choose from Dry Recovery Compression Therapy (Lymphatic compression boots + Pulsetto/BrainTap) or Dry Recovery PEMF Mat on its own.

• The Stillness (Yin & Nidra): Slow down with Yin Yoga to deeply stretch connective tissues, promote joint mobility, and achieve profound rest. Follow this with Yin Nidra, the ultimate lying-down relaxation to calm your central nervous system. This class is ideal for reducing stress, improving flexibility, and promoting restorative sleep.

• The Flow (Vinyasa & PowerBreath): Ignite your energy with dynamic Vinyasa yoga and invigorating PowerBreath techniques. These classes boost physical strength, enhance cardiovascular health, and energise the body through mindful movement and breath.
