HBOT

What is Zeugma?

Zeugma is our advanced hard shell HBOT chamber designed to deliver a higher oxygen dose to the body’s bloodstream than other alternatives.

The current air we breathe at sea level contains 21% oxygen, while using HBOT you will breathe 100% pure oxygen.

This specialised treatment aims to support and increase the body’s natural functions including tissue repair, stimulating collagen production, accelerating wound healing and strengthening immune response.

The 4 key differences that make our Zeugma HBOT the best option for you.

1. The delivery method allows for 100% oxygen at up to 2.0 ATA, in a hard-shell chamber using a mask.

Our HBOT delivers 100% oxygen through a mask inside a hard-shell chamber pressurised up to 2.0 ATA. This creates a premium, tightly controlled hyperbaric environment, enhancing oxygen delivery to the body’s bloodstream.

Other alternatives like soft-shell chambers are mild-grade HBOT alternatives, lower in pressure (often up to 1.3–1.5 ATA) and commonly use ambient air as the oxygen source therefore offering a much smaller oxygen “dose”.

Why is this the best option for you?

The combination of 100% oxygen protocols (concentrated via the mask in a hard-shell chamber) with higher pressure (2.0 ATA) increases oxygen availability in the body which helps more oxygen dissolve into your blood plasma, not just attach to red blood cells. More oxygen dissolved means more oxygen can reach tissues including areas with lower circulation.

2. Our HBOT experience is comfortable (not clinical)

The HBOT experience feels calm, premium, and wellness-led, with comfort and design built in from the start.

What your HBOT experience will look and feel like at Wellness Social Club

You’ll step into a space that feels more like a private retreat than a clinic.

  • We welcome you in and get you settled into a luxe leather chair; upright, supported and genuinely comfortable
  • You can choose your experience: tablet entertainment, music, a podcast, a show. You are in your own chamber, so you can use headphones or play audio out loud.
  • We fit your oxygen mask comfortably, so it feels secure and easy to breathe with.
  • The chamber begins to pressurise slowly, and we guide you through ear equalising so it stays smooth.
  • Then you simply rest. Read. Listen. Watch. Or fully switch off.
  • The chamber returns to normal pressure, we check in, and you step back into your day feeling lighter, clearer, and more refreshed.

Other alternatives like a soft-shell (mild grade) HBOT chamber can feel medical: bright lights, clinical beds, machines humming, and that “patient” feeling where you are often lying down in a space designed for treatment, not comfort.

3. Think of our HBOT like strength training but for your wellness routine

In the first five sessions you will boost oxygen delivery and support your body’s natural recovery processes, feeling your body restore and mind quiet.

After six sessions you will notice your mood and energy between days lifting and your body recovering faster.

30 Session Journey at Wellness Social Club

Zeugma HBOT is for when you’re ready to invest and do recovery properly. Delivering a higher oxygen dose means the best results which come from consistency over time.

4. Our HBOT is designed for safety

Any hyperbaric therapy that involves oxygen needs serious safety rules, because oxygen-rich environments can make materials ignite more easily and burn faster.

This is why our machine is built to support a tightly controlled hyperbaric environment, with clear operating procedures to minimise risk.

Other alternatives like a soft-shell (mild grade) HBOT chamber can have different safety constraints depending on how oxygen is delivered, how the environment is controlled, and what safety systems and protocols the provider has in place.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy FAQ's.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves breathing 100% oxygen in a pressurised environment of greater than 1.0 ATA*. 1.0 ATA is normal air pressure at sea level (what you feel every day). Experiencing higher pressure inside the chamber is similar to deep diving under water, but safely and in a controlled environment. HBOT treatment aims to support and increase the body’s natural functions such as promoting tissue repair, stimulating collagen production, accelerating wound healing and strengthening immune response.

HBOT is basically giving your body way more oxygen than usual, so it can recover faster, feel stronger and function better, without you having to do anything.

*ATA is a unit that measures pressure. It stands for “atmosphere absolute”.

  • The physics behind HBOT compression is Boyle’s Law. As the pressure increases, the volume decreases but the mass remains the same. The use of compressed air began in the 1600's to treat respiratory and digestive illnesses. Fast forward to the 1800's when the first hyperbaric chamber was created.

  • Your HBOT journey begins with an initial telephone consultation. During this phone call, our Hyperbaric Nurse Specialist will explain the treatment in detail and confirm whether it is suitable for you.

Also, you will complete an introductory test run inside the chamber with constant nurse monitoring to ensure your safety, comfort, and confidence before commencing a full program.

  • Yes, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is generally safe when administered under professional supervision. You will first have a free 15-minute consultation with a highly trained staff member. However, it is not recommended during pregnancy or for individuals with lung or ear conditions. Those with claustrophobia or a history of seizures should also consult a doctor. In some cases, medical clearance may be required to ensure your safety and comfort.

  • The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session goes for 45–90 minutes. The exact duration depends on your treatment plan, which will be discussed during your consultation. The session should be booked in advance.

  • Wear comfortable, loose, and breathable cotton-rich clothing. Avoid synthetic fabrics, as they can create static in the chamber. Food and drink are not allowed during your Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session. You may bring a book or simply rest during your session.

  • Our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sessions are designed to be your escape. Simply settle in and get comfortable—we’ll provide a soft blanket and an eye mask to help you unwind. Feel free to bring a book or, if you prefer to watch something, we have a large screen where you can easily stream Netflix. It’s your time to nap, watch, or just relax in a serene, oxygen-rich environment.
