Recovery, Refined:
Heat. Sound. Rest.
Aufguss and Sound Healing.
Saturday 21 November, 6 Plenty Rd Preston.
Two of our masters, one evening. The sauna ritual you already know, and something we have not run alongside it before.
The first hour is Aufguss with Sauna Master Amanda. The second hour is sound healing with Keiko. Same night, two rooms, two different kinds of quiet.
The first hour, in the sauna
A guided sauna ritual, led start to finish by a trained Sauna Master. Five things working at once: steam, aroma, music, towel work, and someone guiding you through it.
Water infused with pure essential oils is poured over the hot stones. Steam rises. Amanda moves it through the room with rhythmic, choreographed towel work set to music, and the heat arrives in waves you can feel land on your skin.
Three rounds, with time to cool between each one and breaks in the magnesium contrast pools.
The second hour, in the studio
A guided studio ritual, led start to finish by Keiko. It opens with a short guided meditation, then the sound and vibration of singing bowls while you lie still, wrapped in a towel.
Where the sauna builds in waves, this one holds steady. The room is low lit and quiet, nothing is asked of you except to stay put and listen, and the only thing moving is the sound.
Amanda opens in the sauna with three rounds of Aufguss. Heat, aroma, music, steam, breathwork and contrast between the rounds.
Then we move into the studio with Keiko. A short guided meditation, then the sound and vibration of singing bowls while the heat comes out of you.
It is the first time we have put the two together.
